Every Friday I will begin posting the "Video Of The Week" where I will share a video I came across on the web that can help in the areas of personal development, self improvement, or success.
This inaugural "Video Of The Week" is a quick talk about the secrets of success given by Richard St. John at one of the annual TED conferences.
Every year, 1000 of the greatest minds come together and share their ideas in 3 minutes or less at these TED conferences and many of those mini-lectures can be found at the TED website.
Below is a quick, highly entertaining mini-seminar about what it takes to become a success and is entitled "The Secrets Of Success In 8 Words".
In the above video, Richard St.John outlines these following 8 words that lead to success:
Passion
Work
Focus
Persist
Ideas
Good
Push
Serve
I really agree with Richard about what he had to say about being persistent in that you must persist through failure and a lot of CRAP (Criticism, Rejection, Assholes, Pressure) and I believe that this is what many people have a tough time dealing with.
