I think that in today's society, the one thing that most people don't do enough of is to take action or seize opportunities that present themselves.
I believe that so many people out there could be living better lives if all they did was to take advantage of the moment and acted on it as soon as possible.
Whatever the opportunity may be, it could be the one thing that could change your life forever and it could be the universe's cue that your moment is now.
Opportunities comes in all kinds of shapes and sizes. It could be someone you meet or it could be that you happen to be at the right place and the right time. It could be a phone call to give or receive or it could be that poster or advertisement that catches your eye.
Think about it. How many success stories out there have all hinged on the fact that they saw an opportunity, acted on it, and became a huge success. Almost every single biographical success story can be traced back to that one action they took...that one life altering action.
No matter how small an opportunity you come across, just remember that it can be a life altering one for you.
I am reminded of the article I wrote about Frank O'dea, the co-founder of Second Cup, one of Canada's largest coffee chains . When Frank was a homeless drunk, panhandling on the streets of Toronto, he happen to see an ad in the newspaper. For whatever reason, he decided to call the number on the ad. He didn't have to, but he felt it was an opportunity for him. From that point on, his life would never be the same and he is now a multi-millionaire running several businesses.
Most of us see opportunities and we don't take action. Instead we think it seems like a good opportunity, but then decide to dwell upon it. What usually ends up happening is that days go by, then weeks go by. It then either slips our mind or you figure that the opportunity has passed and it's too late to act on it.
Success gurus and Law of Attraction pundits always preach that success isn't going to happen all on it's own. Success is about taking action or inspired action, regardless of how small those action may be.
Just remember, the universe likes speed - if you see an opportunity, seize it because it may be the one action that sparks your success.
