As a child, Star Wars was a really big thing for me. No matter how many times I watched the movies, I was always willing to watch it again and again.
I also found the wisdom of the Jedi very interesting and I often wished I had some of the "superpowers" that many of the Jedi possessed.
But if you look closely, much of the wisdom that the Jedi possessed can be applied to life in general. In fact, if you really pay attention, it would almost seem as though the Jedi knew about "The Secret" and tried to impart some of that knowledge to us, the viewers.
Here are some just some of the things that the Jedi can teach us about living life.
This is probably one of the more famous quotes by Master Yoda. This can be applied to practically anything that you do. By saying you'll "try" to do something, you automatically open up the possibility of failure. As Master Yoda said - either do something and give it 100% of what you got, or don't do it at all.
To most people, "trying" to do something implies that they don't have confidence in what they are doing - and once people have that in their mindset, they ultimately set themselves up for failure.
"The Secret" tells us that what we think, we attract, and when we fear something, we ultimately attract whatever it is we fear.
If you're constantly afraid of getting a parking ticket or afraid of failing, you will eventually get what occupies your mind the most. Then what happens? Then you get angry - you get pissed for getting another parking ticket or you get upset that you've failed at what you were trying to do.
Then what happens next? Hate sets in. You begin to hate parking officers, you begin hating things that you think caused your failure.
All of this eventually leads to suffering - the mental anguish and the feeling that you are no longer in control of your life. Master Yoda warned us that these negative feelings were part of the dark side of the Force - but it is also the dark side of life.
Like the previous quote, Yoda lists some of the things that are part of the dark side of the Force (or of life). "The Secret" says that you get more of what you are, and if you are constantly angry or constantly fearful, it can have a profound affect on your life.
Imagine someone who is always afraid of crime - the kind that always has to look over their shoulders all the time to make sure they are not being followed. Can you imagine what kind of life this type of person would lead? Where they work, where they live, the route to drive, where they shop, where they eat....everything will be put into question, ultimately dominating their life and their destiny.
Wow! Does this quote seem eerily familiar? Remember in "The Secret" when one of the "teachers" explained how everything in this Universe is energy, which means that our thoughts also consists of energy? In fact, if we used the above quote and replaced "The Force" with "Our thoughts" and "Jedi" with "person", wouldn't that accurately define the Law Of Attraction?
Yet another quote that describes this energy that we can harness to use with the Law Of Attraction. I also like this quote because it tells us that regardless of size, age, level of income, sex, religion, it doesn't matter - "The Force" or "Our thoughts" are powerful enough for us to do anything.
