Money. We're all living our lives to get more of it - if not for the basic necessities of life, then for the simple pleasures it can get us.
The funny thing about money is that it has the ability to make more of itself and if you have enough of it and it's regenerative abilities can be enough to sustain a modest lifestyle.
Of course, I'm talking about investing money and at a typical 7% rate of return, on $1 million dollars, you'll get $70,000 annually, which is probably better than most jobs out there.
In the future, my dream portfolio will include investments that can provide a good monthly income and if not $1 million, then more. This will allow me to stop working and not have to worry about how I'm going to sustain myself.
This will take several years for me to accomplish, but I feel as though I'm well on my way to achieving this. This will be filed under 'Long-Term Manifests' in the right-most column...let's see if I will get there sooner rather than later shall we?
