My Dream Car - Mercedes SLR McLaren

What's my dream car?

It's none other than the Mercedes SLR McLaren.

I hadn't the slightest idea of how much one would cost...and it will cost a pretty penny - close to $500,000 USD.

Leasing this vehicle in the future may also be an option (in which case, depending on the terms, could run several thousand dollars per month).

Probably the number one rule when it comes to luxury cars is to try to buy used vehicles - that way, the previous owner can absorb the bulk of the depreciation.

So what are the stats?

• Max engine speed: 7200 rpm

• 0 to 100 km/hr in 3.8 seconds
• 0 to 200 km/hr in 10.6 seconds

To be completely honest with you, I really don't know much about cars or about car performance. All I know is that while I was browsing around for luxury cars, the Mercedes SLR McLaren stood out.

I mainly looked at the various luxury cars available out there and just tried to picture myself driving them and by far, I could see myself driving a McLaren.

From all the pictures I've seen, it would appear as though silver is the most popular color - in fact, probably in all the pictures I've seen it in, it was silver. Mine will be black.

Some of you might be thinking - why not a Lamborghini or a Ferrari? Well from what I've seen, it would appear as though those cars are fairly low to the ground and quite honestly I already have a hard enough time getting out of our Civic (I'm of above average height).

And yes, I know that the McLaren is also quite low to the ground, however I just like the way it looks. Lamborghinis and Ferraris just look a little too awkward for my tastes. Just my opinion.

Currently Manifesting...$8,000 In Income In A Month

As I mentioned in a previous post, my job provides me with fluctuating income.

For the most part, I have been fairly consistent and I can definitely see that my average monthly earnings from my job steadily increasing, but I have yet to bring home a paycheck of $8000 or more in a single month.

I have definitely come close (almost $7000 in one month), but I have yet to make $8000.

So how do I go about manifesting it?

Currently I'm visualizing it....I'm feeling what it feels like to receive a check from my company in that amount. I also visualize myself depositing it in the bank and I make myself aware of how good it feels to do it.

I visualize myself looking at my bank statement, seeing my account go up in value. I also start visualizing what I'd do as a celebration for achieving my goal - a nice fancy dinner and a show with my wife.

I also try to feel the confidence I have in my abilities and the confidence I have in myself to do it again the following month.

I primarily visualize this first thing in the morning and before I go to bed, but whenever I have a moment to spare (whether I'm walking to the subway station, or I'm standing in line at a grocery store) I try to bring forth these visions I have for myself.

Currently Manifesting....$25,000 In My Savings Account

You may be wondering why I would consider a target that is rather low considering I'm attempting to manifest $8000 in one month. You might be saying "If he's able to make $8000 a month, his account should be at $25,000 in no time".

Well, you must keep the following in mind:

• Every paycheck I get, 1/3 of it is put in a separate account so that I can use it to pay taxes - I'm paid as a contractor in pre-tax dollars and I am responsible for my own taxes
• Another 1/3 of my paycheck goes into a joint account with my wife - this joint account is used to pay the bills, property taxes, the mortgage, etc
• The final 1/3 of my paycheck I can keep in my savings account

Thus, when I manifest $8000 in one month, I'll only get to save $2666.66 in my savings account IF I don't spend any of it. Not only that, a portion of what I save goes into my retirement account.

And so, even if I make $8000 a month, it'll still take me some time to get it up to my target of $25,000.

Once my savings account get to that target, I'll begin manifesting an even bigger amount

Much like the technique I'm using for my monthly target, I'll visualize seeing my bank statements with $25,000 or more. I'll focus on how I feel with this money in my account and the sense of security I have with it there.

Currently Manifesting....The Perfect Household Pet

My wife and I really do enjoy the company of animals.

We currently have two turtles that have been with us for many many years and they still give us a sense of wonderment and joy.

We've talked many times about getting a dog or perhaps a cat....nothing too big (as our house is rather small). I'd prefer a cat, simply because I know in the upcoming year, both of us will be quite busy and may not have much time to walk and play with a dog.

I have a feeling that this manifestation is starting to roll because a few weeks ago we went to visit my wife's cousin and his girlfriend (who happens to own a cat).

On our way out, the girlfriend asked us if we wanted a kitty stand/bed (called a "Kitty Condo"). We politely told her "no, we couldn't...we wouldn't want to take something that may be of value to them", but she insisted.

She told us that their cat was too big and wouldn't be able to use the "Kitty Condo" and so now we have it in our possession.

We were rather surprised at her insistence because my wife and I had discussed owning a cat and often talked about how cute it would be if we were just watching TV and we could pet the cat to sleep...in a way, we were both visualizing it and discussing how it would feel to have one.

Plus, we never really discussed with my wife's cousin and girlfriend about having a cat, so it seemed like a happy coincidence. Could this be the Law Of Attraction in action? Could this be the event that starts the ball rolling towards our perfect household pet?

Currently Manifesting....1000 Visits To This Site In One Month

I know how difficult it is to get a new site up off it's feet.

I have authored three other blog sites in the past (two of them were semi-updated and one was regularly updated).

It took me several months for me to get enough traffic on the blog that was updated daily to feel as though I were being heard. At the time, I never really did do anything to attempt to drive more traffic to my other blog site, but now I understand how important it can be.

Before I stopped updating my other blog site, I was getting about 15,000 visitors a month, thanks to some networking within the community.

So why did I stop blogging at my other site?

Well first of all, it was based on my daily activities as a trader. My job is stressful enough as it is already and I just felt as though the blog was affecting my performance. I also felt that I needed to step away from the markets and relax at the end of the trading day - and so a decision was made to stop updating the site.

Who knows, maybe at some point in the future I might go back to updating it, but for now, my focus is on this site and so my first goal will be to attract enough people to this site so that 1000 visitors visit the site in a single month.

Once this goal is accomplished, I will increase that number and perhaps begin including other sub-goals (like number of RSS readers and advertising revenue).

Law Of Attraction & Me

If you haven't heard of the Law Of Attraction, I'd suggestion you read about it at Wikipedia or better yet, go and watch the movie "The Secret".

Many of the world's greatest leaders, both past and present, know and apply it's principles and almost all religions preach similar teachings.

As an atheist, I approached "The Secret" and the Law Of Attraction cautiously - thinking that it was very cult-like, but after understanding it's principles, I realized that it is just a state of mind that successful people have that help them achieve greatness.

Throughout my life, I believe that the Law Of Attraction has given practically everything I had a passion or desire for. Even as a child and throughout my teen years, I unknowingly applied the principles of the Law Of Attraction and I can safely say that I got everything I had asked for.

When I was about 8 or 9 years old, my father bought some audio tapes about building self-esteem for himself. I listened to them a couple of times (mainly out of boredom) and some of the techniques described in the program closely mirrored the techniques as taught by the Law Of Attraction proponents.

As I grew up, if I found myself wanting a particular thing, I would imagine what it would be like having that thing - and how great it would feel if I had possessed it. I would do this every night before I went to bed and I can tell you, it worked wonders.

Here is a brief list of some of the things that I believe came about because of the Law of Attraction (keep in mind that some of these things that were manifested were things that I didn't tell anyone about - I simply wished for them, imagined owning them, felt how it felt like to have it and they appeared):

• I had the chance to do something that I always wanted to do as a child - to do some acting (I landed several acting gigs - but I soon found that it wasn't really for me)
  
• Getting into the university I wanted to go to (even though I was initially rejected)
• Enrolling in the degree I wanted to be in (I was initially enrolled to study Life Sciences, but I was able to move to into Computer Sciences despite being initially being rejected for the program)
  
• Getting a car (my father got me a new car even though I never told him I wanted one....though I secretly imagined having and driving one)
• Having the opportunity to live on the campus dorm (I lived only 15 minutes away from the university, but I saw the brochure about living on campus and I imagined what it would be like to live on campus....my father eventually suggested that I live on campus and that he would pay for it even though I never told him of my desire to live on campus)
• I had a fantastic social life during university (I was socially awkward during my high school years - very shy, very introverted....but I kept imagining what it would be like to be constantly surrounded by friends and having the time of my life with them - and I experienced just that!)
  
• Finding the girl of my dreams (for the entire summer before university started, I wanted to find the girl of my dreams...before going to bed, I'd imagine life with the girl of my dreams - keep in mind that throughout high school I was practically frightened to talk to girls...within 4 months I had the perfect girl in my arms!)
• I landed my first dream job (working in the government sector as a computer programmer...this one sort of just fell into my lap - I didn't really ask anyone nor did I really try very hard to find it....it just happened)
• I landed my second dream job (I eventually fell out-of-love with my first dream job and now I am currently loving my second dream job)
  

There are also many other things I believe I have manifested throughout my life (too numerous to list), but these were just some of the bigger events that have occurred in my life. At this point in life, all I can say is "Thank You" to the universe for allowing me to live such a privileged life..."Thank You" for all it has done for me to keep me happy and for making me look forward to each and every day.

What's My Situation Now?

I'm 29 years old and I've been happily married for almost three years now and we are proud home owners.

Since I entered the workforce, I have found myself caught up with the daily hassles and over the last couple of years, you can say that I sort of lost the desire to attain the lifestyle of my dreams. It was all just about making the money, paying the bills, and trying to keep ourselves entertained.

Things were comfortable, which is probably the reason my wife and I didn't dream big nor did we have any really big goals in life. There was really nothing pushing us to go for more.

About two months ago my wife and I watched "The Secret" and we were both blown away. After the movie was over, we stayed up late and talked about how we both unknowingly used the power of the Law Of Attraction in our lives up to now.

There were countless anecdotes that we shared with each other and it really got us thinking.

Since then, my wife has taken some inspired action and will begin her own business on the side next year and I've also been taking some inspired action myself.

So What's With This Site?

I've noticed that lately there has been an explosion of blogs and website related to the Law Of Attraction and each one gives great advice and suggestions on how to manifest things we want.

But I find it odd that with such a wealth of authors and bloggers telling us how to manifest the things we want, why is it that they never share with us the things that they've manifested? This is perhaps one of the things that interests me the most - seeing the success of others and seeing the Law Of Attraction in action. And so, this is one of the things I'm going to do with this site.

I'm no expert nor do I claim that I know everything about the Law Of Attraction, but I'm willing to share with my readers some of the things I'm currently manifesting along with the things I have successfully manifested.

This site is also a way for me to continually re-ignite the fire within me - to constantly remind me of where I want to go and where I'm heading and to keep me on the path I have set forth.

On the column to the right, you will see three categories:

1. Successfully Manifested - this will list the things that I have successfully manifested since the start of this site
   
2. Currently Manifesting - this will list the things that I am currently manifesting and will be on a shorter time frame (probably within a year)
3. Long-Term Manifests - these are the overall goals I wish to achieve in life and will take longer for me to manifest (several years), but I am always conscious of the fact that all my shorter-time frame goals will lead me to these bigger goals

As things are realized or accomplished, they will be moved into the appropriate list and when I think of new things to manifest, they will be added to the appropriate list.

I'll also write and post articles that relate to the lifestyle I desire - such things as luxury vacation spots, fine dining, mansions of sale and a whole host of other things. Hopefully by constantly exposing myself to these things, it'll help me manifest things a little faster.

Hopefully they'll be an encouragement for you, the reader as well.

And so there it is - it's my journey and my path to my dreams. Are you ready for the ride?

What Do I Do For A Living?

So what exactly do I do for a living?

I'm a prop trader. In short, I trade stocks. A company has hired me to trade their money and what I try to do is make more money out of it by trading stocks. At the end of the month, I get a percentage of whatever I am able to make.

I've been doing this for almost three years now and I continue to enjoy the challenges it brings.

I love this kind of work because it gives me the potential to make an uncapped income and I feel as though I am in control of how much I make per month.

These past few years I have learned a great deal and I have steadily improved, but if I want to live the life of my dreams, I must continue to grow and learn.

I am forever thankful to the universe for allowing me do something I am extremely passionate about. Every morning I wake up excited with anticipation about what the day may bring and I'm always eager to get the day started.

It's just a part of the dream I'm living...
